Safe at home with SureHome.

Your home works hard to keep your family safe inside.

SureHome keeps the outside of your home safe.

Our perimeter safety system monitors the area around the outside of your home.

It sounds an audible alarm and notifies you if anyone comes on to your property at night, or when your alarm system is armed.

Perimeter safety is AI for your home

Home burglar alarms are essentially unchanged since the 1970s. By the time you need it to work, it’s already too late.

A SureHome perimeter safety system prevents a break-in before it occurs. It activates when someone comes on to your property, before they even reach your home.

AI-powered cameras continuously monitor the area around your home. They detect when someone has crossed your property line. Unlike motion detectors, AI-based cameras give nearly 100% accuracy — no false alarms caused by pets, wildlife, insects, or weather.

When SureHome detects a person on your property during the times you designate, it can activate lights, play an audible warning, and send a “critical alert” notification on your iOS or Android device.

Important

SureHome is a hardwired system. It does not use wifi.

SureHome does not send video to the cloud.

SureHome continues monitoring, playing audible warnings, and sending notifications — even if the internet is down.

With optional battery backup, it will continue to work even if your power is out.

There are no monthly monitoring fees with SureHome.

SureHome runs on a device installed in your basement or garage. Small hardwired cameras act as sensors, installed outside your home. They connect to servers installed inside your home, but video is not sent to the cloud.

Ring camera video footage

On July 16 2024, after ransacking my car, two men attempted to break into my home. This Ring camera footage documented their attempt, but the camera did nothing to prevent them from getting within inches of my sleeping family.

SureHome video camera footage

On October 2 2024, they tried again. This time, my home was protected by the SureHome system. The video shows the system detecting their presence the instant they cross over the property line. It activates lights and an audible warning outdoor. The startled intruder turns and flees.

How it works

When the system is armed, as soon as someone crosses over your property line, an audible alert sounds outside and inside the home.

A notification is also sent to your phone. This “critical alert” overrides your “do not disturb”, “silent”, or “sleep” mode setting.

Cameras can be mounted almost anywhere but are most effective near the property line.

This camera, mounted on a fencepost near the end of the driveway, can secure the entire driveway area.

FAQs

  • A perimeter safety system uses machine vision AI to monitor the area of your home using "person detection" algorithms. This is the same hardware and software used by DVR or NVR surveillance systems, but we've focused it specifically on the application of preventing trespassing, theft, and burglary.

  • SureHome does three things. First, it uses machine vision to continuously monitor the perimeter of your home, checking for the presence of unauthorized people during the times you designate (e.g. when your alarm system is armed.) Second, when a person is detected during the designed safe times, it triggers visual (lights) and audible (sound) warnings outside your home to startle the intruder and deter them from illegal activity. Third and finally, it notifies you on your iOS or Android devices. Unlike other systems, SureHome sends a "critical alert" notification that overrides silent or sleep mode (similar to the "Amber Alert" notification), ensuring that you will always know immediately when the AI has detected an unauthorized person.

  • SureHome runs on the UniFi Protect platform. Your system includes a completely licensed UniFi Protect NVR system. Licensing regulations prevent us from selling and installing video surveillance systems. However, you'll be free to activate the fully licensed UniFi Protect system on your own once your SureHome perimeter safety system is up and running. The SureHome perimeter safety system does not incorporate any video surveillance features. It functions independently and in addition to the DVR/NVR capabilities.

  • Installation is much easier than with video surveillance systems. The goal of a perimeter safety system is to stop crimes, not solve them when they've already happened. That means fewer cameras with a wider field of view. All cameras are hardwired using direct-burial power-over-ethernet CAT6 cable.

  • Give us a call or drop a line with your questions. We know that you'd never heard of a perimeter safety system before today, so it's natural to have questions. Our top priority is helping keep you and your family safe and secure, so ask us anything.

  • The inventor that created SureHome has worked for more than 30 years in the tech industry in product and management roles, most recently as CEO of a small company. His lifelong fascination with home security and home automation took on a new urgency over the past few years after a series of breakin attempts at his family's home in Montclair NJ. He created SureHome after experimenting with dozens of different devices, cameras, alarm systems and sensors.
